You just have to look at the photo on the bottle and you know ‘Big Jim’ will be a cocky bugger. Chest out, a degree of confidence in his stride and a not-to-be-messed-with attitude. Can’t help but love it.
Okay, don’t say I didn’t warn you. This is one super dooper, full on, mighty impressive rooster but not at all someone to be scared of.
Black as the ace of spades in the glass but it’s a shiny, polished black that impresses immediately. The nose gives you black fruits and spicy dark cherries.
The palate. Taste it. You’ll take a couple of steps back. Lovely concentrated dark fruit characters show themselves again…and again…and again plus some plummy notes filling out the lush mouthfeel this wine has.
I repeat. Can’t help but love it.
