Hi. My name is Tony Peters.  I live in one of the most beautiful towns, on one of the most picturesque islands, in the world.  Swansea, Tasmania.

Thank you for looking at my blog.  My aim is to describe how I see a wine, what it makes me think about or what memory it evokes in me.  Yes, there will be a few of the ‘normal’ wine tasting notes but, there may also be a few words about what popped into my head when I was enjoying the wine.  But (there’s always a ‘but’) what I write is my opinion, my view; what I think of the wine.  In short, I’m not a professional and, because of that, I don’t give scores or ratings.  However,  I will always endeavour to provide you with all the information you need to know about it but sometimes, I throw my hands in the air and say sorry, I don’t know or I can’t find out.

Yes, I realise wine is “just a drink” but it is also something to be enjoyed with family, friends and good food.

My interest in wine spans over 30 years although it became more of a hobby in the last 25 years.

I have had the pleasure of stewarding at the Royal Hobart Wine Show and the Tasmania Wine Show.
