Hi. My name is Tony Peters.  Thank you for looking at my blog.

My aim is to describe how I see a wine, what it makes me think about or what memory it evokes in me.  Yes, there will be a few of the ‘normal’ wine tasting notes but, there may also be a few words about what popped into my head when I was enjoying the wine.  But (there’s always a ‘but’) what I write is my opinion, my view; what I think of the wine.  In short, I’m not a professional and, because of that, I don’t give scores or ratings.  However,  I will always endeavour to provide you with all the information you need to know about it but sometimes, I throw my hands in the air and say sorry, I don’t know or I can’t find out.

Yes, I realise wine is “just a drink” but it is also something to be enjoyed with family, friends and good food.

My interest in wine spans over 30 years although it became more of a hobby in the last 25 years.

I have had the pleasure of stewarding at the Royal Hobart Wine Show and the Tasmania Wine Show.
